Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame accepting nominations
The hall is accepting nominations for the Class of 2023.
January 23, 2023 – There is still time to submit nominations for the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame 2023 class. Anyone can nominate a deserving individual or team by visiting the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame website here. The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2023.
Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization comprised of members from the community who remember, recognize, and celebrate achievements of Lethbridge and area athletes and builders. Sports have played an integral role in building the fabric of Southern Alberta and there is no shortage of local success stories.
The Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame identifies and honours not only contemporary individuals, but also those who have excelled in sport at some time since the founding of Lethbridge.

Nominations can be made in the following categories:
· Athlete: recognizing those who have distinguished themselves in competition in Lethbridge or elsewhere, or by example have brought great credit to the sport and high respect for the individual.
· Team: recognizing Lethbridge-based teams that have won a national, international or world championship, or have achieved the highest possible award at their level of competition.
· Builder: to formally recognize the initiative, leadership and dedication of those individuals who participate in the development of sport.
· Special award: recognizing individuals and/or organizations that have made an outstanding and valuable contribution to sports or to the community of Lethbridge through sports. This category is to reward those who have made these significant contributions but do not qualify under the other categories.
The 2023 induction ceremony will take place on May 5.
