You are encouraged to nominate an individual or team for inductee consideration into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame (LSHOF) before Jan 31.  Please visit the nomination page for details and nomination form. This years theme is “Sporting Events Hosting” and LSHOF’s Induction Ceremony and Banquet will be held on Friday, May 1

The LSHOF historical displays will be set up in Lethbridge City Hall foyer from Jan 9 to 21, please feel free to check them out. LSHOF will also have a presence at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden until Jan 31 during their Winter Lights Festival where they among other activities, also features the Olympic spirit surrounding the Tokyo 1964 and 2020 games https://www.nikkayuko.com

Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony May 3, 2019

Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame (LSHOF) is preparing to host its 34th Banquet and Induction Ceremony on Friday May 3, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the friendly confines of Canadian Western Bank Lounge at ENMAX Centre. The 2019 theme recognizes the sport of “Judo” and will feature guest speaker Tim Takahashi. Master of Ceremonies will be Paul Kingsmith. Tickets for the event will be available at ENMAX Centre starting March 15

Inductee’s for 2019 include: Teams:  2008 Senior Ladies World Curling Championship Team and 1981 Lethbridge Little League All-Stars Canadian Champions, Athletes: Dawn Berry-Furtado (Golf) and Trevor McAlpine (Judo) Builders: Ard Biesheuvel (volleyball) and Bernhard Pohl (Mixed Martial Arts) Special Award: Carol Thibert (Multi Sport)

This year’s Kinsmen Sports Persons of the year are: Sandra Latrace, USport 2018 champion in track & field long jump plus U of L Pronghorn Female Athlete of the Year and Rob Klinkhammer, member of Canada’s 2018 Olympic bronze medal winning hockey team.

Tickets for the 2019 event cost $50 each, while a table of eight can be purchased for $350. Please contact the Lethbridge Ticket Centre at ENMAX Centre or the Yates 403-329-7328 for tickets.
